Case called. Custody of accused Eijaz Ahmed is produced online from J/A. Learned Advocate Mr. Bilal appeared and filed Vakalatnama as a pauper advocate. Order passed thereon, whereby he shall be entitled to receive professional fees of Rs. 40,000/- at State expense, payable after disposal of the case. The matter is fixed for charge. Accused submitted an application seeking waiver of the statutory time for framing of charge. Notice was issued to learned ADPP. Charge was framed against the accused at Ex.02, to which he pleaded guilty vide his plea recorded at Ex.02/A. Accused also submitted an application for pleading guilty at Ex.03. Order passed thereon. Show-cause notice was issued to the accused at Ex.04. Accused submitted his reply to the show-cause notice. Order passed thereon; however, the reply was found unsatisfactory. Consequently, accused Eijaz Ahmed is convicted under Section 243 Cr.P.C. and sentenced to imprisonment for the period already undergone by him. Case is disposed of accordingly. |
