However, junior partner of counsel for Defendant No.1, namely Mr. Abdul Sattar, is present.Learned counsel for the plaintiff has submitted affidavit-in-evidence of the plaintiff, namely Mst. Kousar Parveen, along with relevant annexures, which is taken on record and marked as Exh:17. Affidavits-in-evidence of witnesses Mst. Aziz Khatoon and Zahoor Ahmed are also submitted and are taken on record, marked as Exh:18 and Exh:19, respectively. The junior partner of counsel for Defendant No.1 has moved an application for adjournment, order thereon :???Heard and perused. Allowed in the interest of justice???. However, perusal of record reveals that an application under Section 17-A of the West Pakistan Family Courts Act, 1964, was allowed by this Court vide order dated 16th December, 2025, whereby Defendant No.1 was directed to pay interim maintenance at the rate of Rs.5,000/- per month for the minor baby Zainab. Despite such direction, the defendant has failed to comply with the order of this Court. Therefore, the defendant is hereby granted last and final opportunity to comply with the aforesaid order and clear the outstanding interim maintenance amount.???. Put off to 15th April, 2026 for cross-examination of the plaintiff and her witnesses, as well as for compliance of order dated 16th December, 2025. |
