Case is called. Accused Azam Chachar is produced in custody by J/A District Prison Shikarpur, through online video link. While remaining accused are absconders and already declared as P.Os. Mr.Riaz Ahmed Channa, learned ADPP for the State is present. No P.W is present. As per the record, the accused named above already submitted a written application (at Ext.5), to this Court through Superintendent District Prison Shikarpur requesting therein that he is not in a financial position to engage private counsel and prayed for the appointment of a lawyer at State expense. Mr.Muhammad Siddique Bangwar, Advocate, who was present in the Court in some other matter, expressed his consent to appear and defend the accused at State expense. Heard. Order passed in separet sheet, signed and announced in open Court at Ext.6. For the reasons to be recorded; and in compliance with mandate under Rule 8.2 of the Action Plan, 2019 and in the interest of justice, Mr.Muhammad Siddique Bangwar, Advocate, is accordingly appointed as defense counsel for the above-named accused/UTP. The office is directed to provide him with a complete set of case papers, free of costs, forthwith, to enable him to conduct the defense effectively. A formal charge against the present accused framed at Ext.7, his plea also recorded at Ext.7/A, to which present accused pleaded not guilty and claimed for trial.
