Cr.BA No. 1875 of 2026 of applicant/accused Shahid Saleem @ Shahid Ali Dahar is fixed at Sr. No.7 of today???s cause list generated from CFMS-DC system is taken up in open Court. The applicant/accused is present on interim pre-arrest bail granted to him by this Court vide order dated 18.08.2026. The counsel for applicant/accused Miss Bela Rani Malik is present. The DDPP is also present. The DDPP for the State has apprised the Court that the FIR of the instant crime was recommended to be cancelled under ???C??? class but the Magistrate concerned did not agree with the conclusion reached by police and taken cognizance. He further submitted that alleged cheque had been issued by lady Asia and not by applicant/accused and to extent applicant/accused is allegedly involved in criminal intimidation, which is offence punishable under section 506/2 PPC. After hearing and perusing the record, I am of the considered view that it is fit case for confirmation of interim pre-arrest bail calling further probe of the involvement of applicant/accused in the commission of alleged crime within the meaning of Section 497(2) Cr.PC when he has also joined the investigation. Therefore interim pre-arrest bail earlier extended to applicant/accused is hereby confirmed on same terms and conditions. Accordingly, pre-arrest bail application under section 498 Cr.PC stands allowed. |
